KIDS-ONLY CLUBWilderness Survival Skills
Saturdays, November 8, November 15, November 22, 9:30 am to 2 pm.
Grades: 3 - 6
Fee: $45 per child per day.
Spend your Saturdays learning how to survive in the great outdoors. Explore the relationship between the urban and natural world. Navigate the park using a compass and GPS units, identify medicinal plants, and search for animal tracks in the dirt. Pack a lunch and be prepared to have fun!

FANTASTIC FRIDAYSParent and tot playtime at Crissy Field. Every Friday from October 3 through January 30, with some exceptions.
Time: 10 to 11:30 am. (No program November 28, December 26, January 2 & 9)
Ages: 2 to 4, with parent, guardian or caregiver
Cost: $12 per child with pre-registration and receipt of payment (no later than 4:30 pm the Thursday prior to program date);
$15 at the door. Drop-in OK on a space available basis, pre-registration suggested.
Crissy Field is a magical and safe place for toddlers to explore the outdoors with their five senses and to develop a lasting appreciation for living things. Spend quality time with your child making sand animals, becoming bug detectives, listening with your 'deer ears,' and more. It's a different adventure every week, full of creative activities you can use over and over during your own family getaways! There will also be time indoors, in the Center's Art Lab, making fish prints, pirate scopes, and more!

Fun with Food November 21
Come explore local foods in your National Park with your toddler and stroll through our edible garden and native dune scrub habitat.
Sand and Sea December 5
It’s a beach party. Bring your toddler to their National Park, while the weather is still good to engage in some guided sand and water exploration.
Things with Wings December 12
It’s a bird… It’s a plane… no wait; it’s a toddler flying a kite! Bring your toddler to Crissy Field Center and explore all things that fly from birds to kites
Nature’s Detectives December 19
There's another mystery to be solved at Crissy Field Center and we need you and your Toddlers help. Today we will be using all of our five senses to help Crabby the Crab find his missing shell.
Eco-Pirates January 16
The Eco-pirates have invaded Crissy Field!!!!! Help them pick-up the trash, clean up the park, and "recycle me 'earties, yo ho!" This fun filled program focuses on ways you and your toddler can explore your National Park and help keep it beautiful.
Super Safety Day January 23
Who loves fire trucks!!! Bring your toddler down to meet all of the safety personal, including their machines, to make our parks safe.
Plant It Crissy January 30
Here at the Center we love our native plants. Let us share our love of native plants with you and your toddler. You will learn all about plants and engage in your own “mini-restoration” project.

Confirmation/Cancellation Policy: Confirmation will be communicated via e-mail or pone call up to 48 hours prior to your program start date. Registrations received less than 48 hours prior to start date will receive email confirmation. If you are unable to attend a program for which you have registered, please phone (415) 561-7765. Cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to the program to qualify for a 75 percent refund. If we cancel a program, you will receive a full refund of your total payment.
MYSTERY TRAIL CHALLENGEAvailable everyday
9 am to 4 pm FREE
Self-guided; recommended for families and groups with children ages 5 to 10.
Calling all seaside sleuths! Grab a magnifying glass and get down to the Warming Hut, near the fishing pier at the western end of Crissy Field. Once there, you'll find a booklet that directs you down the Mystery Trail in search of the first clue. There are nine secret plaques altogether, hidden along a one-mile waterfront trail-can you find them all? A prize awaits you if you can! Take the Crissy Field Mystery Trail Challenge, unlock its secrets, and claim your surprise!

'Tis the season to enjoy a few fun-packed days in the Presidio. Participate in all of your favorite summer camp activities and try out some new activities this winter. Spend time being creative in the arts workshop or don some goggles, and grab some test tubes in the ecology lab. When weather permits, spend time hiking and investigating the beautiful outdoors. Now accepting nominations for the 2009 Community Heroes Award!Do you know someone who has worked tirelessly to improve their environment? Has the individual or group inspired others to take action and improved the quality of life for their community? If yes, nominate them to be the next Community Hero. Recipients have their work showcased in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center and are recognized at the annual Community Heroes Award Ceremony in May.

Learn About Your Local Community Heroes
Every year the Crissy Field Center celebrates San Francisco Bay environmental heroes. Groups and individuals are eligible for nominations. Community Heroes Award Ceremon event is open to the public and presents an amazing opportunity to learn more about issues and solutions to local environmental problems. Their stories are featured on our website and displayed in a year-long exhibit at the Crissy Field Center.

Each year, The Brower Youth Awards recognize people ages 13 to 22 living in North America who have shown outstanding leadership on a project with positive environmental and social impact.
